One of the primary activities of MOEEBIUS project is the definition of MOEEBIUS Business scenarios and use-cases which will further enable the definition of specifications of MOEEBIUS platform. A list of 5 Business Scenarios has been derived after consultation with MOEEBIUS end users, from ESCOs and facility managers, to Maintenance Experts and Aggregators, and taking into account the main objectives of the project:

• real-time building performance optimization towards the establishment of a sustainable environment;
• active Participation in Demand Response Schemas through the optimal management of consumers portfolio;
• optimized Predictive maintenance diagnostics and decision making tool to ensure high levels of business performance;
• optimized retrofitting decision making on the basis of improved and accurate LCA/ LCC-based performance predictions;
• holistic DSS towards the establishment of a sustainable building level and district level environment.

MOEEBIUS project is an answer to H2020-EeB-2015 call in the topic: New tools and methodologies to reduce the gap between predicted and actual energy performances at the level of buildings and blocks of buildings.

The main objective of MOEEBIUS project is to introduce a Holistic Energy Performance Optimization Framework that will enhance current modelling approaches and deliver innovative simulation tools which will deeply grasp and describe real-life building operation complexities in accurate simulation predictions that will significantly reduce the “performance gap” and enhance multi-fold, continuous optimization of building energy performance as a means to further mitigate and reduce the identified “performance gap” in real-time or through retrofitting.
